The Grove Mobile Cranes (GMK) range includes a number of weight classes, ranging from 35 tonnes to 450 tonnes. The crane's weight class determines how many axels the crane will have, with 7 being the maximum. All of the mobile crane models have 2 fully equipped cabins. The forward cabin is primarily used to drive the vehicle as it is moved to or around a job site. The second cabin is the workspace of the crane operator as he operates the hoist mechanism. The crane is able to move along public highways under its own power. |
Grove's Rough Terrain (RT) crane has 2 axels and 1 cabin. The cabin has both driving and crane-operator controls. This compact crane is ideal for short movements over all types of terrain, including terrain that is not easily accessible. The machine is ideal on job sites where many movements are required with a load on the hook. Belgian Lifting & Equipment Company (BLE) references for clients using this type of crane include the dredging companies Jan De Nul Group and Dredging, Environmental & Marine Engineering (DEME). |
Grove's YardBoss Industrial (YB), which also has 2 axels, can drive around a site with a full load on the hook. That makes the crane ideal for transporting many, and heavy, loads on job sites. |
